H is for Happiest Place in Earth…

Family photo at the Behind the Seeds tour in the Land at Epcot. One of our favorite places.

Walt Disney World Orlando, the happiest place on earth - well, maybe not for everyone, but definitely for some. We like to go visit Mickey and friends, and a few years ago purchased annual passes for the first time. They are an investment, but in the end it seemed to make sense for our family of 5, especially since we like to decide going there at the last minute and we love to park hop while we are there.

As Florida residents, we only go certain times of year and always skip the parks over summer (we have silver passes which have the summer months blocked out). Our favorite park to visit as a family is definitely Epcot and the two times a year we love the most at Epcot, are the Food and Wine Festival and the Flower and Garden Festival which is currently under way.

A few snapshots from our last Food and Wine Festival visit in October 2018. This was only the second time we got to meet Alice, which was fun.

Magic Kingdom snapshots from our visit in January 2019. First time ever on the carousel and the teacup ride.

The last few times we were at Disney, we figured out that for us it works best if we go to the Magic Kingdom in the evening, especially when there are extra magic hours and the park is open until 11. It’s usually much less crowded. The lines for the rides aren’t as long and once the sun goes down, the heat is not so unbearable anymore, depending on what time of year you go.

The girls in front of Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom, Ally’s favorite ride and the one that gives me heart palpitations each time.

My favorite park by far is Animal Kingdom. It’s usually our last stop before we head home. We cannot leave without at least one ride on Expedition Everest which is Ally’s favorite. She’s definitely becoming a bit of a roller coaster freak. :)

I think, our next trip will probably be in October when it’s time for Food and Wine again. It’s already getting pretty hot and with our summer plans and knee surgery for Ash, a break is in order.

Do you like Disney? Have you ever been? Let me know in the comments!
