The Knapp Family | Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge | South Florida Photographer

Recently, I put out a portfolio-building call, and Deirdre was one of the first people to comment on my post and “volunteer” her family. :) The weather was less than stellar all weekend, but the rain held off on Sunday afternoon, and I was able to snap away for about 30 minutes. I’m so happy we were able to get together and have some fun at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge in Boynton Beach.

Living in Florida means playing chicken with the weather more than we would like, but it’s part of the deal when you are an outdoor photographer in South Florida. That’s why mini sessions are ideal for capturing some updated family photos. In about 30 minutes, I can capture different poses to get you a complete gallery of family pictures. I don’t like to direct or pose you too much during the session and prefer to have fun and capture some candid, natural moments as they happen.
