Homecoming 2019 Portraits

I love to take Ashley’s homecoming portraits and see the progression through the years. I’ll have to do a post next year from 6th to 12th grade to see the changes.

This is probably my favorite shot of her. I know she looks so serious but there’s just something about it.

Picking the dress is always a bit stressful since her style and my style aren’t exactly the same and I prefer she doesn’t show everything to everyone. I do like the dress she ended up wearing even though I wanted to walk behind her and pull it down every few seconds. Why does everything have to be sooooo short and revealing these days?

Her friend came over so they could take pictures together and then drive to school together. We are so lucky that we live only about 5 minutes away.

I ended up taking close to 200 photos but some ended up on the cutting room floor so to speak. I’d rather take too many than not enough. The beauty of digital photography is that you can delete what you don’t like.

Sisterly love. Next year, Ally will be able to go to the middle school homecoming dance and I’ll be able to photograph them together.

Love this beautiful child of ours. She’s such a natural in front of the camera.

xoxo, Susi
