Humming along

I love photographing birds, all kinds, but especially some of the wading birds like herons and egrets that can be found in Florida. This past summer I was lucky enough to be able to photograph some hummingbirds. I’ve never seen one up close like this before visiting North Carolina. Our cabin had a hummingbird feeder and I made some nectar for these tiny creatures.

I sat patiently for hours to capture them and only wish I had a lens that can zoom in more because I could never get very close as they seem pretty skittish.

I managed to get some decent shots.
